I'm still not able to load pictures through the gallery, so I'll tack them up here.

Also a little explanation about what happened. Thanks for posting your great shots, Will. Good to see you! Same to see you, Sean!

Z-Fest was around 130 Z-cars inside a 50,000 square foot pavilion on the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando. We had a dyno guy and there should be some awesome pictures of Z-cars on the lake floating around the internet soon. I want to thank everyone who helped out during the day. I was super pleased with the show and how easy everything went. It took us about two hours to fill the place, but there was plenty of room and it wasn't anywhere near as noisy as I worried. The music worked out real well. I didn't get any food. Was it Ok? Anyhow, it was on serious KICK BUTT show! In addition to the Z-cars inside, we had at least another 20 outside. About fifteen G35s showed up and we had them all line up. I didn't get a picture of that.

It was a great show. I posted only a smattering of the pictures I took and I will be posting some more and some stills from the video in a day or two. the Silver car with no bumpers had some serious metal flake in the paint, and the video still should show it off far more than the pict I posted-it was more like magic than paint. The S30s went from Wild to mild, and everything between was well represented.

I spent some very enjoyable time talking to the owner of the V8 conversion with the cut bumper and the 300ZX hood scoop in a cowl induction hood. The guy had done everything himself, and though he readily pointed out flaws, was understandably proud of the car he put together, painted, and drove to the show-I would have been too.

I didn't get to talk to many of the other owners there, my camera was leading me all over to the point that I was acting like I had blinders on so I wouldn't miss any thing before there was no room to get a shot. A convertible conversion showed up after the camera had drained the two sets of 2500mah batteries I brought, and so I got footage of it with my camcorder, I will add stills(and maybe a short video) after I get the capture board all setup.

Even the mods that weren't to my taste were beautifully done, The show had enough beautifully done variation in S30 representation to really make me think about what my plans for my car are.

Those of you who missed it, really missed a terrific event. Scott and Vicky (while chatting about snail trails) played a great crosssection of music(though I didn't hear the theme from my "favorite 350Z commercial"), and Chris was running around wearing atleast fourty different hats from Host, to "it guy" to Photographer, to scratching his head with a "where was I going", the whole time making everything go as smooth as a ZRushs' paintjob! The hosts of this show(including the ones I didn't get to meet) worked very hard on this show and it was obvious! Thank you from Me, my wife, and my son!

You are very welcome, Will. The event was hosted by the Florida Z Association (meaning me, Rob Tyner, and Scott Blankenship) representing four Z car clubs, Suncoast, Central Florida, South Florida, and the 350Z club of Florida. Glad you had a good time.

sean, again you made the show even better. headlights are up and running; i too can't wait to see my car done and if you think for one second about not being in daytona i will drive to shalimar and hold you ransome for a week of zcar bliss whether your wife, kids or co like it or not.

cd

for those reading this and are thinking zfest was the wrong show to miss; just think of the pain that would be to miss daytona. start saving time and money now cause it's only going to happen once...

live, love and drive to daytona

Heck yeah Zfest was a blast! Thanks to all who made it happen. Nice to meet Will, his wife and son Thomas. Great location too. Felt funny to be there without a car but Scott was the "ZJ" for the day. I loved the Dyno event. If you love Z cars do not miss Daytona in "07!!!

Vicky

(Will your PM box needs to be cleared, can't send you anything)
