Hi to all z people

Im new in the club ...owned a 72 in the early 80,s when I was younger

always wanted another. I bought one in may its a 1971 hls30-07904

built 7/70 76000 miles safari gold #920 all original little rust. Here I go again starting the restoration process. Anyway just wondering who can ease my pain about the car. Paid 5625.00 ....too much? (anyone) another question how rare is the color?....the z has original paint (needs to be redone) It came with all documentation of past work, also the original window sticker, sales reciept it had one owner for 32 years was in storage 16 years. Because of the lengthly storage there is alot of dry rot. I replacsd all hoses belt, restored gas tank(full of rust) valve cover gasket and now the head gasket needs to be replaced so I plan on having the engine redone to its needs timing chain ect.I guess my big question is how much to invest. I fiquire I will have around 13-15.000 all said and done ,although I do not plan to sell, just wondering what it might be worth all done.the right way. I know its a early production so another question is how rare is the car. if anyone can answer some or all of my I would really appreciate it

thx 71safarigoldz

Welcome Bob,

Enjoy the site and your Z.

You paid a fair price for a low Vin car. If the rust isnt too bad, that's even better.

How much it will be worth is debatable. And its been debated here over and over.

What is it worth to you is what matters most.

Regards,

Chris A.
