Ahut2000 Posted November 6, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2006 I really like the look of these and i know no one in the ATL has these. Right now my rims stick out too far, and I am also planning on getting some springs and getting a 1" or so drop. What do you guys think. Here are the rims and what they car looks like now,. New ones are 15x7 with 10mm offset. old are 15x8 with 0 or negative offset, they stick out far so could even be a neg offset Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/22197-would-these-look-good-on-a-280z/ Share on other sites
veritech-z Posted November 6, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 6, 2006 Personally, I prefer your old ones. They look like Olderthanme's wheels, but since he's in ATL also, I can see why you'd want to change them up. I also like the mesh wheels to the left of those better as well, but that's just my opinion. My car has three spokes, so I know my wheel opinions aren't always in line with the majority...here are some pics of both my primary wheel, and the wheels I'm painting to match the car: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/22197-would-these-look-good-on-a-280z/#findComment-188483 Share on other sites
Ahut2000 Posted November 6, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted November 6, 2006 i just want a slightly more modern look to it. Those are racing wheels so they are basic and don't really have any 'style' to them i also have some konig rewinds but everyone has that look Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/22197-would-these-look-good-on-a-280z/#findComment-188505 Share on other sites

veritech-z Posted November 6, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 6, 2006 What color are you going to paint the car? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/22197-would-these-look-good-on-a-280z/#findComment-188509 Share on other sites
Ahut2000 Posted November 6, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted November 6, 2006 I don't know, i was thinking of using a dark grey/gunmetal metallic.I am not spending a lot on the paintjob as i only am going to be driving it rarely and it has to be stored outside. Just doing a ton of wet and dry sanding myself and then getting a shop i know to do it cheap Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/22197-would-these-look-good-on-a-280z/#findComment-188511 Share on other sites
76Datsun280z Posted November 8, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 8, 2006 Your car looks a bit like mine! Personally I like the style that's on your car now. I'd decide a color on what you're going to paint it, then decide on the wheels. Cincy_280Z Posted December 25, 2006 Share #8 Posted December 25, 2006 I like the gold ones next to them. Are they yours? Do they fit the Z? If so would you like to sell them? Cincy_280Z Posted December 25, 2006 Share #9 Posted December 25, 2006 Those black ones look heavy. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/22197-would-these-look-good-on-a-280z/#findComment-193799 Share on other sites
Pennyman Posted December 25, 2006 Share #10 Posted December 25, 2006 The black on on the car are Diamond Racing wheels. I thought about getting a set, but they are soft and kinda heavy. As for the ones in the picture, I don't really think they would go well on a Z.I like the bumperless look, looks light. Anything oldschool looks good on a Z.
