HI All

I have recently bought a 73 240Z, is in above average condition, was owned by the same guy since 1974 and was only every driven in summer. The car only has 60k Miles on the clock so I have no intention of touching the motor as this stage. It is very hard to get parts for the Z here in Switzerland so that is going to make things difficult if things start to fail. At the moment the car is stock standard, was repainted about 25 years ago and zinc treated, so no rust! I am currently looking for some cool wheels, would be happy for tips regarding suppliers! Also have a problem with the electrics, battery although new does not seem to charge, I replaced the regulator but as soon as the headlights or the interior fan etc are running, the ammeter shows a negative charge....am guessing the alternator needs replacing. Any tips on an aftermarket model would be greatly appreciated!!

I am not sure about the availability of parts there either, I am in the USA, and work in a place here with primarily Swiss German, and Austrian people, so If you really need some parts, I can try to buy them, and maybe ship em to you. I am usually quite busy, and it may take a while to do, but we could try if you need. I know some online part centers only ship domestically here in the United States.

Rob,

I've just answered your private mail, but it seems there are some problems.

As far as I remember there was a big swiss meeting last Eastern."Gerrmanzfan" was there, I think. Please contact in Munich my good friend Fred Schuster-Orth,0049/895022740 for further informations.

Isn't Mull from Switzerland? Or is he from Finland. I'd send him a PM.

Mull is from Sweden ;)

Anyway, several countries here in Europe has some sort of a Z-club or a Datsun-club as Tomohawk said. In Finland we have a couple of Datsun/Nissan clubs.

Btw. it would be really nice to have a big Z/ZX-club gathering somewhere here in Europe :cheeky:
