Hi,

I'm a first time Z owner, and it also doubles as my first car. It's a 76 280z with 90K miles on it. My dad bought the car from somewhere out in Ohio as a project car. I ended up getting it for my 16 birthday. It has rust :surprised, on almost every panel. And after removing the dingy carpet, found more rust, looked under it, more rust, under the seats, the wheel well, floor pan, rust; and dents too (the previous owner slid the rear into a ditch), but I'm not discouraged though, I got a MIG welder.LOL

There is only 2 (maybe 3) other people in this town that own Z cars, I've seen the one guy in a beat-up 280 2+2 and the other in a white 300zx (then again he might have been just passin thru  ) Some one else has a red 300zx but it just sits in one spot.

The guy in the 2+2 has tiger stripes on one door (the rest is flat black, primer), it's too bad, and the other guy I have no idea about, so they're kind of out of reach.

That is why I started looking for other enthusiasts to get in touch with, and let me just say, this site is helping me so much already. I hope to return this baby to it's former glory (:smoke: ), and i'll need all the help I can get. I know it will be a long challenging process and it will probably never end.:sleepy:

I'll describe, to the best of my imagination, what I want to do and try to get some pics, but first I need to do my home work :ermm: (bummer). So until next time, good night and god bless the Z's. Bread

Thanks,

Some time ago I went to Dinwidd and saw Mighty Mouse. That thing was beast, it never went down the track though (he backed out), but I was able to sneak in with my bro and another friend and stood about 40 feet away from it, while pictures were taken of the crew. I wish I coulda checked it out closer. BTW what is VIR?

My dad has been getting the Black Dragon catalogues, and that's basically the only place we can get parts from now, we're keeping an open ear/eye for names and numbers. I wrote down the Z Barn number, Gatway Z, and still looking. At the moment I need to find a cheap body panel dealer, a window pressure roller for the drivers side, and how do I get the passenger side rear quarter panel off. The drivers side was easy, but the other is not cooperating. The guy that owned it before also seemed to have problems with it too, the rivet holes are all broke and the speaker is not present. The problem seems to be the strut bracket is in the way. Whats the key (well you just slide it forward, grab the thing, twist it around, and flip it over, then you gotta ........)

Duty calls, and so does lunch. Bread.

Scratch that quarter panel thing, I wasn't thinking, and I should have known what VIR meant, where's my brain at??

Any how, my dad asked me to find out if there was any one who could sell a window roller or anything else that we could use. I would greatly appreciate your input, anything is good in my book. (Should I be posting this in another thread?)
