madkaw Posted January 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2007 I am putting my front end back together after powder coating and my memory has failed me again. The control arms have urethane bushings and they are made to offset the contol arm in the front crossmember. I can't remember if the offset is to the front or the rear of the crossmember.Any help would be appreciated!!! ktm Posted January 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 5, 2007 Small bushing to the front, which would offset the control arm to the front.Remember, do not torque the control arm bolt to spec with the front control arms unloaded. You need to torque the bolt to spec when the car is one the ground (and ideally loaded with 2 people). Finally, remember that the bolt head faces the front, the nut on the back of the crossmember.
