I forgot about Black Moon Rising. Not on my favorites list, but I'll watch it occasionally.

While I did a little Google (verb,) I saw a few lists that were called TOP 40, but I can't think of 40 movies based on cars or car culture.

Are there any real-life car cults? I mean besides you people...

As for the case scenes people are putting in... Most big movies have chase scenes, from French connection to the James Bond stuff, but I don't think those movies are oriented around cars. Even Bullit is more of a cop movie, than a car movie; if it was you'd have to include Starky & Hutch and the Batman TV shows.

My focus on the list is movies based on a car or a car culture; You're bound to have a chase scene in any car movie- like a walk-down shootout in a Western film.

ever seen "King of the Mountain"? it's all about cars, a little cheezy, about street racers on Mulhuland (sp?) drive in California, the hero drives a Porsche Speedster the movie has loads of cool cars, and there's even an S30-Z in it briefly, I haven't seen it in years though

You named most of the movies I have. The only other ones are...

Two-Lane Blacktop

Stroker Ace

RPM

The Junkman

Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry

Dont know which movies you would call strictly car movies but all revolve around the vehicles in the movie.

I don't remember the name of the movie but I can't believe it has never been mentioned on this site.It was in the mid 70's about a 240Z attacking cars on the freeway.I have seen it twice because I will never forget how bad it was.The funniest part that stood out is in every persuit shot another hubcap would be missing or replaced in the next shot even the same chase. It was a bad remake of a movie Christene the car that killed people.Somebody other than me had to see it?

DeathRace 2000

All of the Herbie the love bug movies, most Elvis Presley movies,

There was some movie with four of five black Z cars in it-I can't remember the name of the movie, but the cars were after the main characterin the movie, and as I recall, there was some good precision driving in the chase sceenes.
