Marty Rogan Posted January 24, 2007 Share #13 Posted January 24, 2007 Well, I do have photos....but they're old, from when I first bought the car. The interior is currently pretty much disassembled so that I can install floor pans (looking for a shop that can do this now). The door panels need some minor repair, and I have purchased OEM blue seat covers to replace the ugly black ones.To this point, I've been doing mechanical stuff (engine, brakes, suspension) but I'm going to start looking inside the passenger compartment now. New black 'Z logo' carpet, Cusco strut bars for the front and rear strut towers, blue dye for the plastic panels, etc....it's going to be a blue nightmare inside, but I like it. I also have a blue interior. It's a blessing and a curse. Cool that there are so few of them, but a real bite when you need to find new blue panels. I have not been able to find a drivers door panel in 8 years. I ended up using SEM on a black one. Great stuff that SEM. fortunately most of my interior is in pretty good shape. Here's a couple pix of mine. Marty Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23030-period-z-photos/?page=2#findComment-196741 Share on other sites

Wedgewood is too light....I was thinking that Pacific Blue might be closer to the right color. Marty Rogan Posted January 24, 2007 Share #15 Posted January 24, 2007 What color SEM did you use on that door panel, Marty? Wedgewood is too light....I was thinking that Pacific Blue might be closer to the right color.I was able to get an original passenger side door panel. I took that into an auto paint supplier. He custom matched the color for me. It is so dead on in the match that you can't tell it was originally a black panel and it blends in perfectly with the rest of the interior. You mentioned that you bought OEM seat covers? Where did you get them from? The ones on the car right now are from MSA. I am not happy with them since the grain of the vinyl is not even close to the original and the pattern is not exact either. Last year I snagged an NOS set of Nissan covers off Ebay. They have a couple of unusual stains on them. I need to see if I can get the stains out. If not, I will probably end up dyeing them with SEM too and put them on this year.If you need a drivers side quarter window trim, I think I have an intact extra one. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.Marty Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23030-period-z-photos/?page=2#findComment-196744 Share on other sites

saridout Posted April 5, 2010 Share #17 Posted April 5, 2010 Yeah, well. I hope you're the type of guy who likes surprises, because something tells me that 'she' has got a really big one for you....dude... not cool. there may not be any rules here regarding discriminatory language, but you shouldn't say things that would alienate current or potential CZCC members, especially based on their personal business and not their cars. saridout Posted April 6, 2010 Share #19 Posted April 6, 2010 cause i don't think this thread should go on without SOMEone saying something about it. i don't want to start a mess, but if i came across it while searching for "vinyl upholstery", anyone could. that is all. d240zx2 Posted April 6, 2010 Share #20 Posted April 6, 2010 The thread DIED three years ago. And YOU come charging out on your white horse seeking to slay a long-dead dragon. You started the mess you claim to want to avoid. Just let it drop back into the oblivion it was BEFORE you brought it back to life.
