Mr Camouflage Posted February 4, 2007 Share #49 Posted February 4, 2007 Basically that's because fairlady isn't a word, and there is just one sound for both L and R in Japanese. So the translator translates it to what it thinks it should be - Fair Ready !Alan, I think I'll just wait and see how high the reserve is. I would think too rich for my blood!Yeah and Silvia becomes Sil Beer ! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23044-yahoo-japans-cleanest/?page=5#findComment-198008 Share on other sites

WingZr0 Posted April 4, 2007 Author Share #54 Posted April 4, 2007 clean z. btw, what kind of exhaust is that. it looks cool yo You like that set up Huh? I was wandering the samething but missed it in the description so I went back and reread it. Far as I can tell it's a Takoashi. A qoute from the Ation Page, "All smut ten less exhaust sound from [takoashi] is the highest sound not to be confined into the interior." OK, the translater is wack. All ~smut ten less~ translates into All ~stainless~ exhaust sound from Takoashi and the sound can not be heard in the interrior of the car. Sometimes you just have to sum it up for yourself. Translatters are vague at times. Takoashi as far as I know is a JDM company that makes front pipes and down pipes for exhaust sytems but as for the muffler it's self I assume it's a Takoashi aslso. If not I have to say the muffler is a Trust Greddy type, it looks like their design but that style is very popular so it might be more than one company that makes it I never heard of Takoashi till today so I learned something NEW ! It does look Sic ^^ ~Z~ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23044-yahoo-japans-cleanest/?page=5#findComment-204781 Share on other sites

I never heard of Takoashi till today so I learned something NEW !'Taco-ashi' is romanised Japanese that translates as 'Octopus leg(s)'.It's just a generic colloquialism for a tubular exhaust manifold ( for obvious reasons ). It is not a brand name. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23044-yahoo-japans-cleanest/?page=5#findComment-204786 Share on other sites
HS30-H Posted April 4, 2007 Share #56 Posted April 4, 2007 By the way, that looks to me like a SPIRIT GARAGE twin-pipe stainless system, just like the one on my Fairlady 240ZG.
