nealkeith Posted February 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2007 I have located a couple of T5s, but i read somewhere that they have a different flywheel, and neither had the drive shaft, and I believe that I would need at least the front yoke. Any advice? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23173-t5-swap/ Share on other sites
jmortensen Posted February 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 5, 2007 You might ask yourself what you'll gain by swapping in the T5. Is it really that much stronger? Do you NEED more strength? Does it shift better? What's the gear spread like? How would that work on a NA engine vs a turbo? madkaw Posted February 9, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 9, 2007 Jon has a good point. I am doing the T-5 swap but it is more for the fact that I know the tranny has only 60k miles on it and worked perfectly. It definitely more work, more weight, better performance?? I got the driveshaft with mine but have to shorten it. Maybe better to spend a little more to find a good nissan trans that is a easier bolt up with a better ratios for a N/A motor. Definetly do the research!! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23173-t5-swap/#findComment-198687 Share on other sites
