440k Posted April 11, 2007 Share #73 Posted April 11, 2007 AAh ok then. I just thought that with all this talk of there being no pre-301 numbered models in existence, then 170 might be something special. The car may be for sale, for the right price, but at the moment I think the owner wants to hang onto it. It's in need of a little TLC, but as I always say, if you ever found a '57 Chev in the same condition, you'd jump at the chance of owning it, regardless of the price.Lachlan - yes, I've joined the dark side. You have to admit though, sideways around Willowbak autocross track in an angry bridgeport is hella fun. Of course if I had Gainsey's driving talent, it would be double the fun. Mr Camouflage Posted April 19, 2007 Share #74 Posted April 19, 2007 Speaking of TLC, this car needs emergency medical attention.http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160105601778 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23270-unusual-kenmeri-qld/?page=7#findComment-206594 Share on other sites

aarc240 Posted April 22, 2007 Share #76 Posted April 22, 2007 I could call it 'heart & lung transplant plus a wee bit of cosmetic surgery' but that'd be stretching the truth more than a little. It's really a donor car for things like front uprights, rear axle etc for a 'toy' sitting in the workshop.I'll try to get a pic or two soon of where some of the mechanicals are going.Still 4 cyl powered, just Datsun instead of Prince. Mr Camouflage Posted April 25, 2007 Share #77 Posted April 25, 2007 Well I'm sure that all the bits you don't need - chrome trims, windows, etc would be welcomed by some of the guys in the prince gt club. Here's Johns GT incase you feel inspired to save the old rust bucket.http://www.princeskylinegt.com Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23270-unusual-kenmeri-qld/?page=7#findComment-207190 Share on other sites
aarc240 Posted April 25, 2007 Share #78 Posted April 25, 2007 Thanks for that. The car will actually be going to a friends property on which 3 Skyline GTB's live so all usable parts will certainly be saved.
