Hi all,

I'm Greg in Dixon, CA (between Sacramento and Bay Area). I was actually given a '72 240z automatic by a realtive who knew I have admired Z's for years. :knockedou It runs fairly well (made the 300 mile trip from Santa Maria, CA to Dixon just fine), but the struts are shot. I've spent some time reading a number of postings in the tech area, and I am very impressed at the volume of knowledge and experience here. Thanks for maintaining this club.

I am starting small by noodling with little details and just learning what kind of mess I've gotten into. I have one question I'd like to try to answer soon: on the fusebox cover, there are some warning indicator lights (seat belt, choke). Mine lacks the bulbs and I don't know what size to replace them with. Phillips lightbulbs lists the instrument bulbs as #1445, but the base is still too big for the fixture. I don't think I have an aftermarket item. Anybody have any ideas? (I'll post this question in the electrical forum as well.) Thanks again.

Greg

Hi Greg,

Welcome to the club. I'm glad to welcome another member to the community! Your idea about posting the electrical questions to the electrical forum is a good one. We have many different forums related to various topics and it's always best to ask a few questions at a time. This will give you the best possible focus.

Good luck with the car and I hope you enjoy your visits to our little home on the 'net.
