I've been there. Not fun, soooo many people on it that you can only go 5 mph. And its one way, down.

I think the Pebble Beach 17 mile drive is one of my favorites.

I am from Cape Cod, so there are very many nice roads!

Also, the Big Sur area on the PCH, and pretty much any part of the PCH is awesome. Theres a street down in Malibu called Los Flores, that is about an hour of amazing driving.

I drove across country, and in CA there's I believe Route 58 thats great fun too!

Yep, been down it many times, however it's very narrow, and very steep. Even without the people, it would be hard to go more than 5mph, but it's worth doing if you're there.

I grew up half a block outside Pebble Beach on 17 Mile Drive. Nice place but just one among many. My favorite was always the drive to to Big Sur. Now that I'm up north a bit in Santa Cruz, my favorites are Hwy 9 and Hwy 1(PCH) up to Half Mon Bay and San Francisco. But again, a few among many great drives in California.

I hadn't really had the chance to drive my Z anywhere famous while it was in the states, but once it arrives here (sometime in mid-April) I plan to drive it on some nice short trips to Paris, Amsterdam, the Ardennes (southern) region of Belgium, Germany at least once and eventually make it down to do a southern France, Spanish Pyrenees trip.

I've driven all over the US (but for work, not pleasure) and there are some great places to drive. Colorado, the Blue Ridge Mountains, parts of Northern New York and England. I also enjoyed the driving in Mexico to Monterrey and Saultio for a trip, but I ended up on the truck service road and not the toll way which wasn't fun. Plus Monterrey was like driving in a damn pin ball game. :stupid:

San Francisco was one of the few cities I have yet to visit in the US, but I plan to one day. Also, if money was no object I would fly my Z down to South Africa and drive from Johannesburg to Durban then do the whole length of the coast of South Africa to Cape Town. The perfect trip to take during the 'winter' months of the norther hemisphere.

US11 from Lolo Montana to Lewiston Idaho, 110 miles of curves going over Lolo pass. Going to the Sun Road in Glacier Nat'l Park is awesome too.

US 12 is a great road (not 11, I,m sure it was just a typo though), I use that road to test out the Z all the time in the summer. Another great Montana road is the Beartooth Pass Highway, some of the best scenery around but keep your eyes on the road the drop offs are brutal.

It's been too long since I've been over it but yeah, it's US12. I have a blast driving through Yellowstone and another favorite is the East side highway at Flathead. I can retire in 5-7 years and I'll be returning for good.

Are there many roads n S.F. that are really bendy, like Lombard street? Or how about in the Dirty Harry movies- they'res always a chase downhill ( don't they ever go uphIll in S.F.?) on some bendy street. There's one on Bullitt, I think.

thx
