ok, i didnt know if i should have posted this here....... but heh, its here

i finally figured out why my car drags to the laft while driving..... i have no inner or outer wheel bearings in the rear driver side wheel.....LOL.... gonna fix that soon and then i will be posting track times. gonna hit the 1/8th mile strip...... hopefully i can get some pics of me racing for you guys.....

btw, does any one know what could be causing my car to start right off like normal...... but most of the time i have to hold the gas pedal down and let it turn over for about 45 secs before it starts........ got any ideas on that one?

take care guys

If you are driving a injected Z some other member will help . If you are us carbs and they are SUs . Holding the throttle down or pumping the throttle does nothing. You must use the choke to rich en the mixture for a cold engine . Other wise these engines are hard starting cold. With Weber's , they have accelerator pumps that will pump raw gas when you pump the peddle . My engine when cold , I pull the choke full on and when the engine first starts to catch I push the lever forward about half way. usually 2 revolutions and she starts .

IIRC, you have an 83ZXT. Sounds like somehow your fuel pressure is leaking down. When the car is cold, the cold start system will start it but when it's warm, if the pressure is low, it has to build back up before the car will start. This could be caused by a bad check valve at the fuel pump, leaking injectors, or a leak in anything else in the EFI system that is supposed to hold pressure. As far as trobleshooting it, I defer to the ZX guys since there are differences between S130 turbo EFI, and S30 EFI which is what I'm used to working on.
