fret440 Posted May 2, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2007 Hey y'all, Glad I found this place. I just bought a 1976 280z. It's going to new a little TLC but I think I'll keep her. She runs good... started right up after a new battery and cable. I'll post pictures soon.Jacob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/24186-howdi/ Share on other sites

mars23z Posted May 4, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 4, 2007 Not to bad. Do you have plans to restore it or just drive it? Either way you will have fun with it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/24186-howdi/#findComment-208374 Share on other sites
SportBikeMike Posted May 4, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 4, 2007 Nah, she don't look too bad at all. Just needs some paint (as does mine...) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/24186-howdi/#findComment-208379 Share on other sites
fret440 Posted May 4, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted May 4, 2007 Not to bad. Do you have plans to restore it or just drive it? Either way you will have fun with it.Well, for a little while I will have to drive it. But, I do plan to restore it with maybe a few upgrades. The body and paint will have to be first. They are the most lacking. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/24186-howdi/#findComment-208390 Share on other sites
mars23z Posted May 4, 2007 Share #8 Posted May 4, 2007 Good Luck with it.Its a never ending quest there is always something else to do to it so have fun in the process. This site is a dream come true for those of us that dont have the knowledge. I joined the site in 2005 knowing only general things about Z cars and now my knowledge has increased 10 fold if not more. I love Z cars of all kinds and owning one is all the sweeter.:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/24186-howdi/#findComment-208396 Share on other sites

Be aware that primer is porous and will allow moisture to penetrate to the metal . So if the primer is over paint that will be a moisture barrier , however if the paint was sanded off or removed , you want to address this as soon as you can. The same for Bondo . All the best to you and enjoy your new ride. Gary:rambo: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/24186-howdi/#findComment-208415 Share on other sites
