BuDavid Posted May 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2007 hi guys, I'm sick of my AFM, it is a toyota's upgreaded AFM with a Z's circuit board, and I think it is making a really horrible air/fuel mixture, I'm in need of a new AFM, used ones never were good from my experience..does anyone know from where I can get the best price for a whole AFM? I need one with the core.. coz I don't have an original core to exchange besides shipping the core will cost me about the same price of the core itself!black dragon have the best privce from what I searched, I don't know if there are better deals elsewhere..I would be thankfull to have an advice guys.. thanks! BuDavid Posted May 22, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted May 22, 2007 sorry for the late reply.. I didn't get a notice on my email:(for sure, Nissan's AFM, that Toyota's crap don't seem right to me.. and the Question was from where, the dealer told me that it would cost me about 925$ which sounds really wrong! from VB I can get it arround 220$!is there a better deal than VB? Montezuma Posted May 22, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 22, 2007 Why yes there is a better deal than VB....Motorsport charges just $169.00 for them. There is a problem with the $400 core charge BUT you might be able to work a deal out on that issue. We just got one today that we ordered last Monday. Call them. sblake01 Posted June 1, 2007 Share #8 Posted June 1, 2007 Women, you would prefer to be Z's if you knew how do we treat them I don't think my wife would like being kept in the garage and only driven now and then! But, seriously, the core charge is for your old AFM. If you send the old one to them, they will rebuild it and sell it to someone else. If you don't send one they will charge whatever the core amout is. BuDavid Posted June 3, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted June 3, 2007 haha, in the garage? if women will be having sort of special pleasure in the garage, then why not? they would love it (from my experience garages can be really exotic) and my old core is gone now, thrown away by a friend, thats why I needed a complete AFM.. but unfortunatelly, I sold my Z:( but anyway thank you guys, I might need this info in the future, coz I'm getting a nother Z for sure!! Go240Zags Posted June 3, 2007 Share #10 Posted June 3, 2007 Wow, you sold your Z - amazing. Always wanted to ask, but kept forgetting to, what brand/shade/color of paint was used to paint your silver car? I suspect it was not a stock silver, but I always thought it looked great. Hope you find a new Z soon and hope you continue to monitor this website and contribute Mohamed. Gary D. BuDavid Posted June 4, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted June 4, 2007 yes I sold it Gary:( I do regret it a bit, but I'll get a nother one for sure, sooner or later..I also loved the color of my Z.. I just asked the previous owner who painted the car about the color, I always thaught that it is the Titanium Silver of the BMW E39.. but I found out that it is the color of a Honda Prelude '93 (don't tell no one):nervous: anywayz.. I'll sniff arround for a super Z.. I must get a better one than what I had!:devious: cheers..
