turbo 260 Posted May 23, 2007 Share #13 Posted May 23, 2007 How do you have it hooked up? I still run my ignition box on the 79 standalone variety. I would think that you would have to use it somehow or the distributer just wouldn't work. If it's not hooked up ay way to the ignition module, and the tach is jumping around, then there must be a problem with the MSD. Could be the tach adapter. TBK1 Posted May 23, 2007 Author Share #14 Posted May 23, 2007 I didnt hook it up PO did, gonna go thru and verify everything soon, my understanding is that the 6AL eliminates the ignition module under the dash, is that not so?? turbo 260 Posted May 23, 2007 Share #15 Posted May 23, 2007 I can't see how it could. There are two wires (I believe red and green) in a box on the fender well by the coil. These go to the ignition module. I belive that the red and black wires off the MSD hook up to these, the the black and orange to the coil. It's been a while, so don't quote me on that.
