Well I figured I might as well stop trolling since I just purchased my 2nd 73 240z.

The first one is an all original silver 240 from 1973 with 68k miles on it in pretty much pristine original condition and one family owned. I am a little loath to drive this one as wishfull thinking it might be worth money to fully restore it back to showroom quality. (I know it is a stretch for a 1973...)

The new baby is a 7/73 240 that i will be picking up tommorrow. It has a l28 engine with e31 head, and I will be building it out for a weekend track car and maybe light autocrossing. The body is actually rust free with the exception of the passenger door panel has some surface rust that has not perfed the panel. The rear decklid and rear sill are clean and rust free as well as the fenders and battery tray.... I was really surprised on the battery tray. The car is currently smurf blue, but there is a color code tag in the block for 114 which I think is metallic bronze, but I cannot find any of that color on the car yet. The interior is trashed though and I will be yanking out the whole interior next weekend. On that note, anyone have recommendations on seats for someone that is 6'4? racing seats and full seat rebuilds seem to be about the same price, so I was thinking about racing seats considering the intended purpose of the car.

Here's an example of the original 114 Brown Metallic in various lighting conditions. The 1st(sunlit) one was taken at the time of purchase prior to any poliching. The 2nd(darker) and 3rd were taken under a carport on an overcast day with a flash immediately after a full clay/polish/wax job.

So i picked up the car and it is leaking oil from the oil pressure send unit other then that bay is clean. I adjusted the round top SU carbs forgot to check 3 or 4 bolt with no water pre-heat in the manifold, but has a winter/summer air filter unit... runs great with the headers that are on the car. The brakes on the otherhand are a little scary. I will be posting the pics, and will be trying to determine if a stroker upgrade was done on the engine. Unfortunately the history on the car is a little vague, except that it was built by a friends dad who loves Z's
