halz Posted July 31, 2002 Share #4 Posted July 31, 2002 Alfadog, is that your car under your name (the avatar)? I just ask because you don't see many G-nose cars around... halz Posted July 31, 2002 Share #6 Posted July 31, 2002 Actually I'm not that big a fan of the G nose... from some angles it can make a car look sort of droopy! Any pics of your car on the site? halz Posted July 31, 2002 Share #7 Posted July 31, 2002 oops, just found them - nice! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/2458-new-logo-needed/#findComment-11675 Share on other sites
Alfadog Posted July 31, 2002 Share #8 Posted July 31, 2002 Yeah hehe I'm not too sure about a G-Nose either - I certainly wouldn't put one on my car without some other serious mods... (e.g. 432 replica / RB engine / track car) And you know how hard it is to tell where the front of the car ends with a normal Z, imagine with a big nose sticking out the front too !!! halz Posted July 31, 2002 Share #9 Posted July 31, 2002 For goodness sake do NOT modify your car! Please! It looks great just as it is. As you know most of the ones for sale out there have been irreversibly modified (L28, sunroof, Mags, custom paint, etc, etc.) Yours (apart from the wheels and speaker boxes inside) looks like its been taken from a time capsule. The horrible mods you just mentioned wil only devalue the car. (Buy a 1600 for that!) Alfadog Posted July 31, 2002 Share #10 Posted July 31, 2002 Dont worry mate, I was trying to imply that I would never put a G-Nose on that car Although, I would like to own a RB-engined Z one day......... one day............ and a convertible Z....... and a.... heh the list goes on Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/2458-new-logo-needed/#findComment-11678 Share on other sites
Mike Posted July 31, 2002 Share #11 Posted July 31, 2002 Oh damn guys!! Those logos look pretty nice. One of my biggest challenges with a logo in the upper left of the site is matching the blue background color perfectly (use an RGB value to get it right) and the lack of square or CUT lines. For instance, a cut line would show half of a car rather than smoothing the lines to make it blend nicely.I like the samples you've provided!! Got any more? :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/2458-new-logo-needed/#findComment-11679 Share on other sites
Alfadog Posted July 31, 2002 Share #12 Posted July 31, 2002 Actually I think the first one (no bias cos its my car!!) looks fantastic when it's up there on the top left... take off the lines in the background and you'll have a very clean, precise look... it doesn't matter that the car stops suddenly because the whole blue rectangle stops suddenly also. I think it'd be an improvement Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/2458-new-logo-needed/#findComment-11682 Share on other sites
