I just purchased and installed a direct replacement K & N for my girl. I didn't realy bite on the hype about the additional horsepower thing, but I was impressed by it's claim for better air flow and life time service. I had to get a new filter anyway so $60 later...

I didn't think about it much initially, but I'm starting to think I do see a difference in the way she pulls. (I don't work for K & N by the way) maybe a little smoother and I might be loosing my marbles but I think the exhaust note sounds a little better as well. :stupid:

Anyone else got one? See a difference?

I went with the 'tuna can' K&N filters on my car, like the ones shown in the photo. If you go with a setup like this, you would want to install air horns.

ditto.

you can definitely hear the difference in flow of the air cleaners, but from experiments i have seen they let more particles into your engine (as would be obvious with more flow)

So, there are 5 hoses that go into the back of the original air box, which do I plug (if any) and which to add a push-on or separate filter? There are 2 small hoses (one from each carb), 1 big one from the manifold(?), 1 from the valve cover and 1 from the fuel line(?) or something from the engine wall.

Your thoughts? I tried to search for this and didn't have any luck.
