I just raced a guy on a Yamaha crotch-rocket and lost.

All I heard was "BEN! RACE THE PORSCHE!!" and I was instantly ruined. Damn highschool kids.

Needless to say when I caught up to him at the next intersection I made it a point to yell "Tell your douchebag friends it's not a Porsche, it's a Nissan!"

Maaan, I need to unslowify this car...

LOL, my friend's V8 Mercedes probably could have done it.
Not a chance. Even my 750cc touring bike with big saddlebags and electric windshield will do 0-60 faster than 98% of the four-wheelers on the road. If this kid was on a 600cc or larger sportbike he isn't going to get beat by a car. Not if he's really trying.

I have only seen 1000hp Vipers and GT's having a chance at a sports bike. Tons of power and well under 1000lbs.

It is stupid for basically 95% of cars to race a sports bike. Its not an embarrassment at all, it is common since. If the guy on the bike wants to brag, he needs to race other bikes.

Its like you racing a tank. You can tell people that you raced a tank, but would there be bragging rights? No. People would probably call you stupid for bragging.

I once watched a show on the AC Cobra. In the show he talked about being able to hang with crotch rockets. Of course an AC Cobra 427 can also go from 0-100 and back to 0 in 11 seconds. That guy is to much of a puss to race anyone that would have a chance like another crotch rocket or Lamborghini etc

I started to mention the 0-100-0 tests. I recall seeing one such test where the bike was back down to 0 before any of the supercars even hit 100. On the other hand I also just read where an F1 race car managed 0-100-0 in 5.9 seconds.

It all comes down to Newton's second law of motion:

Force = Mass * Acceleration

Take a sport bike with very little mass and give it some power and you've got a lot of acceleration. For typical street cars/bikes it's simply no contest.
