It seems that my zed had suffered an accident in the rear right suspension. The car would sit about an inch lower on the rear right. After replacing the shock and coil, the problem was still present. So I purchased a rear right suspension unit(control arm, drum, and the whole deal). I removed the old suspension, then I proceeded in removing the spindle pin since the new control arm was not intact and was missing the spindle pin. I thought no big deal i'll just use the old one. Haha! that was way easier said than done. I couldn't get it out, so I had to go and purchase a new one from Motorsport. Putting it in was no easy feat either, The notch where the spindle pin lock slides into is not dead center so it has to in a certain way. I put it in the first time and, guess what, I put it in the wrong side in. I had to take it out and flip it over. But the darn thing seems to have jamed too! :( I wrestled with the spindle pin until I finally pulled it out. I flipped it over and there, perfect fit. Now my zed sits even on both sides. That was a hell of job, I think i'll make one of those spindle pin pullers that some of you guys have.

I still have a spindle pin puller to loan. You just pay the $8.60 shipping each way and return it when done in a timely manner . So I can send it on to others. It will save many hours of anguish and frustration and the old pin will still be usable , providing you haven't beat on the end of it and screwed up the threads. The cost of one pin is more that the total shipping . the pin will come our with little effort and time. I get nothing out of this , and it is for members of classicz . I also have drawings on a PDF file if you wish to build your own. V8-240 makes them and has them for sale. He is the maker of the ones I have to loan. Send me a PM if you wish to loan the puller.
