I'm new here, and learning great stuff about an old family treasure, the Datsun 1971 240Z and others who think it's top notch! Kinda blown away on hearing that a "Z" could possibly be supported by environmental views and fuel alternatives. Could this really be?

Just wondering as a true novice.

:surprised So surprised.

Helping my brother with his 1971 240Z, and wondering about this a lot.

I remember reading about that but the ad is almost three years old. The RWD Maxima diesel engine could be modified to fit in a 240Z but it would take modification since the Maxima has a front sump oil pan and the S30 is rear. As far as the biodiesel conversion, I imagine that's also feasable since biodiesel, from what I understand will work in any diesel engine. This car, however, wasn't all it was described as and I doubt that it sold for the $20K asking price. Here are some other thoughts:

I haven't quite figured out how this site works, but in my exploring moments, found what looks like my Bro's car's twin here, on a thread from a new user.

One thing for sure that I've determined so far as a new user is this:

WHAT A GREAT SITE!!!!!!

ROFLROFL I sure missed your comment here, for which I apologize. I never saw that any responses happened.... Boo hoo. Anyway, thanks Arne for letting me know.

The more I learn about our Z, the more I need to learn. I guess I should post the thread with updates to tie things together, though not sure that's the way to go. But, being a novice, here goes>>>>>>>>>
