When I purchased #110 in August the PO had put a key in the ignition and one in the hatch lock so they 'wouldn't get lost', and handed me one that he had found in the house. When I was going through the glove box last week I ran across the left foot rest pad. It didn't feel quite right so I turned it over and there was another key was hiding in the back. Just barely fit.

Funny story, I was removing a lot of the stuff on the exterior of my car to get it ready for a paint job and while removing the rear bumper I noticed there was a Hide-a-Key stuck on the inside. Much to my delight I opened it up to reveal one of the original keys.

SAME thing happened to me during my resto. found a magnetic box inside the front bumper..voila! an original that worked!!

the PO i bought it from owned the car for 20years (!) and only gave me the one original he had...he didn't even know about the one in the bumper

I can '' decode '' any worn key , use my ITL code cutting machine , and give the customer a new ''factory fresh'' , nice key with sharp ''square'' cuts. The key will now work perfectly , and won't pull out in the incorrect position . No more ''wiggling'' or cursing ! You will wonder why you waited so long...;)
