Hi Rick:

I was going to say that:

A) Any man that would marry a gal with three kids, then have twins too boot - deserves to lose his Z.

and

B) I find it somewhat "odd" that his wife seems to be selling the car....

She must be one super fine woman indeed.

but then I decided to just comment on the car ;-)

FWIW,

Carl B.

WOW! 3000$ during one day.. well I assume that the car WILL go up more than I expected!?

mention that the reserve not met yet met, if the story about that Z is true, then the owner would'nt let go that easy even if the car needed just minor repairs..

So gnozez,

you actually remember the poster of my car leading the pack at Road Atlanta. Wow.

--

I am so happy to have people confirming what I know to be true.

A couple other cool things have happened.

I spoke with a gentleman who is interested in the vehicle. He is a personal friend of Bob Sharps. He call Bob last night and Mr. Sharp remembered my and confirmed its authenticity. Then I found a copy of a 1974 advertisement for the car, this is bieng included in the advertisement. A member of the now defunct Bob Sharp Racing Z Car Club, emailed me a photo of the car from the 2001 car show. Then the Mr. Sharp's friend emailed me a photo of a white and gold GT-33 (looks like it is sitting on the lot at a dealership).

If anyone has the 1975 Small Car Performance Magazine article about the GT-33. Or if anyone has a 1980's BSR catalog and can scan the photo of my rear spoiler and email it to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am attaching the photos.

Hope you don't mind me having jumped into the conversation.

Thanks to everyone for their interest in my car.

To use the vernacular-pu$$y make ya STUPID!LOL

Hi Dan:

Must have been in a catalog before 1985... The 85 catalog shows only the larger 3 piece IMSA style rear spoiler (and lots of new stuff for the 280ZX's).

The Front Spoiler as on your Z is shown - but off the car... By 85 the "GT Kit" from BSR was composed of fender flairs, front and rear spoilers and head light covers... (copy attached)...

Seems I had earler BSR Catalogs around here somewhere, I bought a lot of stuff from them in the late 70's and early 80's - I'll keep looking.

FWIW,

Carl B.

Thanks Carl

If my memory serves correct - it will be on one of the last few pages - on the left page -- towards the top. It is a small photo -- shows a gold spoiler with white lettering GT-33 (identical to rear shot of my car)

I used to have a few of them. Think the cover of one of the catalogs has a red/white/blue 280zx. I know it is in the 1982 catalog and in an earlier catalog but not sure about the later ones.

I have a catalog with your car in it and a note about "Bob Sharp Racing GT-33 Datsun Z car which is sold at my Datsun dealership in Wilton, CT."...I just replaced my laptop, and my scanner software hates Vista...-here is a photo of the page.

The catalog has the 33 race car in black and white on the cover and as illustrated, your car is on page 1.

On the last page of the same catalog is a drawn poster names "Z-Power" that appears to have your car in it as well.

Mohamed,

sorry, for the communication breakdown - I responded to your PM and sent you an email to gmail.

I also sent you the photo of a white GT-33 that appears to have been taken at Bob Sharp Motors back in the 70's (it is sitting next to another GT-33)

I have tried and tried to post that photo to this forum but could not get it uploaded. Would you mind trying to post it? Thanks

Also, another interesting fact about the car:

According to the 1975 article in Small Car Performance Magazine (if anyone has this, please post it or email it to me):

The sticker price on a 280z was about $5000;

The GT-33 stickered for $10,000 (if equipped with the full package)

Dan
