The sticker price on a 76 280Z was closer to 7,000 with dealer installed AC. 6,754.00 without AC and after all preparation. At least thats what my window sticker says.

John

You are correct about the sticker in 76. The price jumped sharply from 1975 to 1976. It continued to jump in 77 and 78. I think my window sticker from one of my 77's was around 7900 and my 78 was closer to 10k.

I was qouting a price from the magazine article for a 1975 280z and GT33. At that time the package more or less doubled the price.

Dan

A few year's back I researched the 280Z MSRPs. This is what I came up with. I don't recall where I got the figures from, probably KBB or NADA. These are for coupes only, not 2+2s and they include dealer prep, etc.

75 MSRP-$5,479

76 MSRP-$6,669

77 MSRP-$7,429

78 MSRP-$8,878

sorry for the late response, I was busy bringing a 3.3L engine for my BMW from Saudi arabia..:rambo:

Mohamed...I hear that car calling your name....it says "buy me, buy me" "out bid the other and take me to Bahrain"

man, how can I bid on it without having it being checked??:(

on the other hand, I don't think that I can make it on time.. I need to find one close to that place to have a look at it.

Daniel.. here is you picture you wanted from the email you sent..

I'll check your PM now..

Is there anyone in the Detroit Metro area who could check out the car for Mohamed? I live in Holly Michigan, about 50 miles north of Detroit.

I will be at the house all day today. Or could arrange a time to have the car viewed in Downtown Detroit during business hours anytime between Mon and Thursday.

Mohamed has my phone number or I will check my private messages throughout the day.

Hey Mo,

You realize if you buy it, once you have her all spic and span, we're coming to Bahrain for an inspection/rally party...

man, I allready mentioned to Daniel that he is welcomed even without getting the Z over here:)

actually, any friend from this club is welcomed.. please let me know if you plan a trip oover here, I'd be glad to meet a member, feels a bit sad for me to see you all guys finding each other over there and I'm so far away that I can't see any member here:(

So your are serious about the car? That is good to hear. If you get it. I would love to escort the car to you as well. I had some real fun in your country as well as in Dubai. Maybe your should plan a trip sometime to go to the Motorsport Auto Show in late April. That is fantastic event and you could meet lots of people.

One question about the GT-33, Can you get the interior work done in Bahrain?

Motezuma..

I'm serious, but the car is in Mechigan, which is so far from those guys taht I know, besides doing it through ebay wont work for me..

the GT-33 has the same interior exept fot the the materials of the seats and door panels, so it can be done in Bahrain.

and about the crack in the dash. I think that it is possible to fix in Saudia arabia, I heaed that there is a big workshop that does super jobs with dashboards, and also glass sunroofs that looks so original (sliding type)

there is also a great guy who can wrap the dash with leather and some nice stiched trims, called "Freddy" if you heared about him.. great jobs! he does Rolls Royce interior!
