zhead240 Posted November 6, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2007 it's the wire tie that holds the temp sensor wire to the rad hose. mine is very brittle and i would like to get another one. GreenZZZ Posted November 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 6, 2007 Pull ties work!Considering you have a smog pump and braided radiator hose guess you probably want stock? You probably want a stock hose clamp too? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/26134-where-can-i-get-these/#findComment-227476 Share on other sites
hd240z Posted November 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 6, 2007 I don't think thats a factory arrangement. My 71 has those wires routed on the other side of the distributor and no wire tie is required. GreenZZZ Posted November 6, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 6, 2007 None on mine either, but no smog or stock distributor either :cheeky: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/26134-where-can-i-get-these/#findComment-227478 Share on other sites
sblake01 Posted November 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted November 6, 2007 Actually, it think that is the factory arrangement. Those are on my 810 and Z though they are later models but they've been on every other L or Z engined Datsun I've owned. GreenZZZ Posted November 7, 2007 Share #6 Posted November 7, 2007 Looks like it shows up on the microfilm for the 260Z on. Check fiche 4/8 Section 54A-2 parts number 8 and part 9 look similar... Ubiquitous "clip" notated in the description. Didn't see a listing in the 240 films. sblake01 Posted November 7, 2007 Share #7 Posted November 7, 2007 Don't recall about the 70 but that clip was on my 72. I only recall that because I broke it and had to get another one from the dealer. Arne Posted November 7, 2007 Share #8 Posted November 7, 2007 It appears to be correct for late '71s as well, as my red car has one. I had to look hard in my pictures to find it, turns out that the shots I have here were all taken while it had slipped off the hose. Look at the very bottom just below the radiator hose to see it. zed2 Posted May 17, 2011 Share #9 Posted May 17, 2011 Has anyone located the OEM part number for this clamp? If not, what other years did Nissan install this clamp? Thanks,Keith Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/26134-where-can-i-get-these/#findComment-356033 Share on other sites
26th-Z Posted May 17, 2011 Share #10 Posted May 17, 2011 Yes, the wire holder is stock. I recall Kats discussed this part when he found a new one. Good luck finding one. They are rare as hens teeth. AZ-240z Posted May 17, 2011 Share #12 Posted May 17, 2011 Has anyone located the OEM part number for this clamp? If not, what other years did Nissan install this clamp? Thanks,KeithKeith, I consulted my trusty club parts CD, and came up with #24220-E4101 for this wire clip. This part number is used up to, and beyond 8/76. Kats had researched this item and found an early iteration of this clip. He shows pictures on his web site of both early and later styles of this clip.
