Hi Mike,

When I was at the NISMO FESTIVAL at Fuji Speedway last year, they made a big song and dance about presenting the "new" Z to the public and strategically placing it at the head of a parade of all types of Z car.

Carlos Ghosn was driving the car, with Yutaka Katayama as the passenger. It was RHD, and badged up as a "FAIRLADY Z".

They are going to be selling the car in Japan too, so the ones at this recent launch were either RHD or a mixture of the two.

I had to laugh at seeing that poor Safari Rally winning Z just plonked in there with it all. If only that car could talk. For God's sake, why don't they make a proper museum for their collection of old cars and make sure they preserve their heritage for the next time they want to bounce some reflected glory at a new product.

This car was also at the show. I do not know if the Z belongs to Nissan or privet?

I’ve received this message below, from a friend who has contact with a Japanese lady.

Quote:

“Title of 350Z announcement commemoration ceremony in Japan is 'Celebration

of Z' on July 30.

NISSAN invited mass communication, related company, and 100 Z owners to

this event.

And, NISSAN has never held such an event. I got on the passenger's seat of my husband's car and participated in this event because he had been invited to this event.

The very impact effect of production of this event made me impressed.

I felt the zeal of NISSAN to 350Z very much.”

Alan,

In my earlier notes I spoke about ‘the house warming party’ of Nissan. Here are the last pictures which I received from that party. As you said Alan, it’s time they have a nice museum of old cars. They do own a lot as you can see!

I guess we could safely say that the first 350Z #00000....0001 is a RHD and may be resident in Japan!

Lets not let the occaision go un-noticed & document the history of #00001 before it's hijacked by some mis-guided LHD enthusists'.

how many 000001 are there? The USA 000001 is up for auction at the 19th and its the only number 000001 as Nissan USA says.
