My 260Z painted and assembled...finally!

Well, it's been about 2 years since I bought it and got it to the condition it's in now...

It now has an L28 N42 head with a 5 speed from a '77, SU carbs to be installed soon (from ZTherapy), and MSA Twice Pipes. EGR and air pump have been removed. I didn't have the rubber fillers for the bumpers, so I collapsed the shocks to make them fit closer to the body like the early 240Zs.

Here's what it looked like when I got it... what a mess. Being from Arizona, at least the body had no rust. Oh, and I forgot to say that it is repainted in its original color now.

Love the finish on the BRE-style spoilers, BTW. What did you use? A satin black of some sort?

Arne, I used Krylon Semi-Gloss Black on the spoilers, mirrors, and window louvers. Available at your local Wal-Mart!

You really set the bar high---especially the interior. Best "worst case" before and after pictures of an interior that I've seen.

I really like the "small diamond pattern" vinyl that you used on the tranny tunnel. I haven't seen that before----where did you get that??

That is a really amazing before and after. I started with a shell, but I don't think I would have taken that one on. Good for you to see the potential. You should get some kind of award for the effort. You have to carry the before pictures around with you.

Nice work. One question, what did you fill the holes that were left behind when you removed the side moulding with, solder or body filler?
