Beautifully done! How did you collapse the bumper shocks.

Come and introduce yourself at HybridZ.org.

Hey dat260, thanks for the comments. When the bumpers are off, there is a phillips screw in the center on the mounting face of the shock. Take this screw off, and gas stored in the shocks will bleed out. You can then collapse them. Some may take a bit more effort with a hammer and then you can put a few welds around the body of the shock to keep it collapsed. It is a nice quick fix, especially when I didn't have the rubber fillers for the front and rear. Thank you for the invitation at HybridZ. I will check that out.

At some point in time, I will install a Tokico Illumina Shock/Spring kit I recently bought and do the Toyota 4 piston caliper conversion up front.

Great Job! Very nice 260z, I have one myself and had that same original color, but now its champagne silver... what is the mfr. color code? Glad to see someone bring a Z back to life!!! It must be nice to drive her around now...

Enjoy the fruit or your hard labor!!!

Hi Mike, thank you for the comments, I believe it is 304 Gold Metallic. That is from what I could tell from some color samples from a Dupont color chip book. The original tag on the radiator support was worn out making it more of a mystery at first. The local paint supplier has a camera that scanned the underside of my hood which still had the original paint and calculated a formula. Very nice to have handy.
