That is exactly what I was thinking when I read this thread an hour ago. I went looking for the info. Found Webdog's spreadsheets, but they don't seem to be of much use. I remember the old conversations about buying new hardware from Nissan to replace the old stuff. As it turned out for me, restoring the original hardware was more authentic and economical. I bought a tumbler at Harbor Freight and cleaned the bolts. Nuts and washers are pretty easy to replace with new, however the bolts bought today usually don't match the original bolts. Of course, it would take someone totaly anal to notice the difference.

Will, there are not any lists that I have done, but lists that I have or had that were created by the Chrysler Corporation for their use. Part numbers of the fasteners are used in conjunction with a detailed description. Adding a photo would turn a simple spreadsheet into a much more dificult project, but could be beneficial in some cases to aid in the description. I don't think I'm ready to take on another project now but maybe could be of some help elaborating on a spreadsheet so it better suits this intended purpose.

I was thinking of the Photos for exactly what Chris noted, differences between new and old fasteners in both design and finish-(ie new hose clamps are all silver and not the iridescent finish of old).

Chris, all entries in the Stock class should be that anal!

making the spreadsheet in something that will export comma delimited ascii(does anything not?) would allow the data to be imported into a relational database that can support photo fields.

I have been using Sun Microsystems Open Office(a freely downloadable open source Microsoft Office clone) for years, I believe it will do the job on both fronts...and provide the framework to incorporate all of the other files of this nature into a seriously indexable guide for judges...for that extra anal measure!

This subject needs to be tossed around some and we will see which end is up. We all have some ideas to throw into the ring. I am going to put together my thoughts on how to create a useful resource within the confines of this site. At that time I will start a new thread, unless someone else does first.
