Lazeum Posted March 27, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2008 Something similar happened to me. My plugs were fouled so there was no sparks.Gas was just stuck inside the pistons then detonate with pressure and get out on the piston chamber trough wherever it can (the intake)I would start looking for your plugs and other ignition components. Try taping the outside of the float chamber with the handle of a screw driver. Has this car been stored for some time? If the Car has not been running for a long while, this might jar it loose. jay28 Posted March 28, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted March 28, 2008 Ok wellI never thought of checking the plugs but there is only about 100 miles on them so cant see it being them, but I will check them tomorrow,I took the top of the carb today and the floats seem ok........Its just happening on one side of the carb, like the petrol is being blown out of the carb instead of being sucked into the intake...........Jay Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/27524-petrol-coming-out-of-carb/#findComment-242219 Share on other sites
