Hello from ohio

i am new here. i have a late 74 260z that i have had for going on 3 years now it was almost perfect when i got it which i was pretty amazed being that was bought in ohio and has always been an ohio car. i am the second owner of it the po added 70-71 SU carbs to it. The body of the car is perfect no rust at all. the only spots that are in need of help are the floor pans and the spare tire well need replaced. I just recently got done putting a new water pump and radiator in the car. Its great all the info i can find on this site i love it.

A 1st class source for a floor pan is Zedd Findings they make the best ones on the market. datsunzparts.com Too bad you live so far away , I have one of there pans for the driver side I am going to sell. They may have the tub for the spare as well. It's good to have you aboard. Gary If you are planning on doing the pan your self. I did the removal and installation my self, then took the Z to a certified welder to have it welded in. Gary

i have been having problems with my fuel, temp, and oil pressure gages. they will move back and fourth and then go to the position they are in when the car is off. i have cleaned all of the connectors and all of the grounding points and still cant get them to work any help would be awesome. also on there are those braces that run under the seats and i was wondering if you can buy those anywhere or if i will have to get them out of a parts car cause the PO cut the passenger side one out to install something to run a radio that was installed behind the seat.

If you are planning on doing the pan your self. I did mine and took pictures, not a hard project if you are willing to get dirty and are at all mechanical. I did the removal and installation my self, then took the Z to a certified welder to have it welded in. Gary

yeah i am planning on doing it myself i dont have a problem getting dirty at all and i have plenty of experience working on vehicles having worked on jeep wranglers and piston bully snow cats. and the welder isn't a problem either i work in a ski resort maintenance shop. some pics of what you did would be awesome in helping me out i just need the parts.
