Hi, My name's Ross and I'm obviously suffering from mid-life crisis!

In 1980 I bought a '73 240Z and loved it to bits! It had stuffed shocks and boiled at the drop of a hat but it was probably the best car I've ever owned. Always hankered for another however, the prices kept going up and the condition (the r-word) kept going down.

Last week I bit the bullet and bought the best one I could afford (or the cheapest my ego could tolerate, whatever). I've forgotten everything I used to know - which wasn't much - about these, so the learning curve is going to be long and steep. Please forgive in advance what may be some fairly silly questions.

This is the beast, it has an L28 with a mild cam, headers and slightly worked head. Lowered, stiffened and fettled with some wide sticky rubber. I'd rather it was more vanilla, but you take what you can get. There's a lot more work needed than it would seem externally, but aint that always so?
