JerseyJoe stopping by to say hi!

Just got done driving home after storing my new 71 Series 1 in my friend's garage. Can't wait to get plates and get it closer to home so I can drive it!

Thanks for the forums, I poked around here a bit while looking for a Z, visiting mostly the classifieds. Now I have to pay attention to the good advice I read here as I can actually apply it now!

Now is a good a time as any to figure out how to attach a picture. I'm the big guy on the right. I hope Mark doesn't mind his picture going up here.

I sent one of my friends from grammar school this picture and he commented that I'd put on some weight. I told him that that was why I had to get a Series 1, they are lighter to makeup for the extra weight it'll have to carry around!

Unfortunately, its been raining all weekend, so the best I could do was pick up the car and put it in my friend's garage which is an hour away. I haven't even sat in the driver's seat yet! Looking forward to next weekend being sunnier!

  • 2 weeks later...

Finally was able to take a quick 'recreational' trip in the Z. Since I dont have a garage, I'm keeping it at my sister's for now. Tonight I went over to replace the rusted Bosch plugs with new NGKs and went for a spin afterwards. I say the car runs better, but that might just be the satisfaction of doing some work on the car talking!

The Bosch plugs were probably 7 years old, but barely 3,000 miles on them. They looked great...all dry, and light yellow with just a bit of carbon on the plug body. Insulator was tan on all plugs removed. Pretty sure this means the motor is in good shape.

Anyway, I'll throw a few more pictures up so at least I can look at them!
