Hows it going folks, new to the Z and Nissan world. I have always like the old school Z's anything 78 or older. I am a Subaru guy at heart and spent alot of years playing with them while I was stationed in Japan.

Anyway I picked up a 76 Z of the 280 varity, the floor pans are gone, the passenger side frame rail needs to be replaced, and one of the doors has been rusted through.

Even after seeing all that I still could not refuse the poor Z, the guy I bought it from stuck the key in the ignition and the Z cranked up purred like a cat.

So here I am digging up as much information as I can and hopefully get a line on a good place to find exterior parts, as well as learn about returning the Z to life.

Well before I bore you to much, I am gonna end it here.

Later,

Mike

Hi Mike:

Are you planing on doing your own rust repair? Can you do the cutting/welding yourself?

See:

good luck with the project

FWIW,

Yes I plan to do most of the repair myself, I am pretty handy with the Mig, and as for tearing stuff out well, what guy isnt good at tearing things up.

I also have a few friends that have been doing this for years who are going to help me out.

Thanks for the links!
