I'm not defending this guy but nobody NEEDS an original key blank. And he's certainly not forcing anyone to buy them. So, if someone were to pay that ridiculous price then whatever. It's not unjust or a rip off or anything else like that. It's just being stupid.

I apologize for flaming defining actions that I found detrimental and offensive. It was not my intention to make maters worse, but I see that is clearly exactly what they did.

I apologize for hijacking the thread, and pushing it somewhere with only marginal Z content. While my intentions were good, they were not a necessary and productive addition to a thread, forum, or this club-and I should have recognized that before posting.

The suggestion to ban surfsnake was a good one and in my only post to this thread at the time - I seconded that suggestion.

IMHO you have deleted these two positive suggestions along with whatever you considered to be flames.

I read the entire thread - and believe that we really don't need the company of people like surfsnake. His behavior is deplorable, it is only his intellect and vocabulary that prevent him from being "Bert2"

If you want to keep him here for entertainment value - then you'll be constantly deleting references to his personal behavior, it is just to obnoxious for most of us to let pass without comment.

Hi Carl, texasz, others... Please don't take the removal of your positive suggestions as negative marks. I simply wanted to remove any evidence of a flame war so we could continue the original discussion about keys. I know most of you were not to blame and don't mean to insult those of you who are on this club daily. Again, my intent was to simply perform a clean-up to get us back on track.

I have been called worse-something to the effect of and "old man with no understanding of the "new fangled" 350z" leaps to mind! I have no issues with being called any of the above, though "Bill" and "Mr. Stokes" are my father...

These are the keys I have to make Dies from. Also pictured is a new ignition cyl. with two new style replacement keys. I have several sets of these if anyone has a need, and I bought them from a locksmith who was going through his "old" inventory and was parring down.

I have both keyways of the oval key, One side is NOS out of a lock set for an early car,and Not pictured is a second complete NOS lock set I bought from a member who posted them available on a thread here, as I recall he had several sets, and some of us got lucky for around $200...wait, that sounds wrong somehow...
