Well, I've had my early 260 since 1977, bought it when I was in high school. Combined, it's probably sat in peoples driveways and garages for half it's life. Seems that about every 15 years I torch the black widows (literally) and give the car a complete renovation. This week, I'm bringing my "old friend" home from the shop where it's been living for the last 6 months while i redo it. :classic:

I attached a couple of "during" and "current" photos for ya. I'm sure it's no where near as nice as most of the cars that belong to the members here. But, I'm pretty happy with the way it's coming out.

Thanks! Yeah, I suppose paint does make a bit of a difference... I'm not taking it back to stock, 260z's really aren't a good choice for that type of restoration (IMO). If nothing else, the carbs weren't so great, and there was just a ton of smog stuff. The car has a 280 engine, and 240 SU carbs. So, it's probably never going to see a true "stock" restoration. Today, I decided to go through the engine compartment and make it "nice", so it will stay in the shop for a couple thousand dollars longer. :)
