soundmasterg Posted November 7, 2008 Share #25 Posted November 7, 2008 The fire damage was on the passenger paint and the upper inside (roof liner, plastic parts ect.).What is the driver side door pin? Is it the door hinge?Six shooter: Driver dogleg is for you. Please indicate me where you want me to cut it. For all other good parts, they are now all over the floor in the garage. I'll start by getting ride of the shell and see after what I'll be using for my project. I'll keep you inform if some parts won't be needed.I'll try to take a few pictures tonight.Driver's side door pin is the pin for the lights. When the door shuts, it pushes the pin closed and the lights go out....when the door is open, the pin is open and the lights go on. It is mounted on the front of the door frame and comes out from the inside of the car. It has a plastic shaft on it which breaks easily, especially with age, which is what happened to mine.Greg Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/29890-1972-shell-parts-to-give-away/?page=3#findComment-265743 Share on other sites

Six_Shooter Posted November 9, 2008 Share #28 Posted November 9, 2008 I'll be more interested in seeing pictures before you cut the dogleg out, to make sure I can use it. If the missing area isn't too much I'll send you a picture outlining where I need cut. Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/29890-1972-shell-parts-to-give-away/?page=3#findComment-265901 Share on other sites

jcote75 Posted November 21, 2008 Author Share #30 Posted November 21, 2008 First of all, sorry for the time to reply. I took a week off and now paying the price badly at work I've work a lot to cut the shell in parts requested but I prolably don't have all the correct tools. Cost be a few blades to get the windshield frame off. Tried to cut the dogleg or the rockers but didn't work very well and theses parts wasn't in rest free condition. What left is the windshield frame (see picture) and the spare tire section. Both are in very condition and would like to find a nice home.
