tony54418 Posted January 3, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2009 Hi all I just imported my first 240Z ex Japan into Australia. It's a bit of a slight mess but will do the job. No compliance plates but have worked out it's a 72/73 240Z fairlady modified with a L28 EFI motor and other cool toys. the plan is to get it back to original and see what happens. I normally am found competiting offroad in my old range rover but with the Z I hope to have it on the track in the classics. Hope you don't get annoyed with the questions. My dad always says "there's no stupid questions ... only stupid people" I could be one of them! beandip Posted January 3, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 3, 2009 Tony, welcome to the Club. This is the place for information for sure. Being that there is such a time lag for us in the USA , make use of the search function . But don't hesitate to ask any question you may have. Will this engine keep you from being able to enter the Z in the classics competition ?Gary Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/30412-bitten-by-the-z-bug/#findComment-270200 Share on other sites

tony54418 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted January 4, 2009 thanks guysThere are a few guys here in Perth running L28's in 240 and 260's from what I can see. I think (think) that they miss a few comps for the pure classics but can run as a modern irregularity in most events. In any case I guess for me it's more a Sunday morning flyer rather than a racer so I will be happy either way.Mr Camo ... I have had a look at the register and have a full intention of joining. Currently my motor is out and down at my workshop so once I get a chance to head down there I can get the engine number and sign up. I was at the classic muster this year and got some great Z photos on my facebook and have joined the VSCCWA and got my Cams license Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/30412-bitten-by-the-z-bug/#findComment-270221 Share on other sites
