To be honest, I was hoping to only spend about $3,500 to clean her up, have my old boss rebuild the motor (he owes me a few favors and will build it labor free) and make it a driver. I should have kept her in the garage and made my now x-wife move outside.

I'm probably being premature. Letting my emotions get the best of me. I thought the suspension and motor were mounted to the bottom of the stout rail? The top "box" seems too thin a gauge of metal to support anything other than the wiring harness and brake and fuel lines?

I will take some photos and let you guys tell me what you think. I trust your judgment better than my own right now.

Let's see the photos before we prematurely scrap the car. Where in Edmonds do you live? write me at wolfin32z@yahoo.com maybe we (wife and I) can come over and check it out for ya. I'm just off exit 201 off I-5 so I'm about 20? miles from you.

Let me know what your schedule looks like.

Dave.

I would not have any problem replacing the rail or fabbing a piece to section in if needed. Note that the picture you used, was taken during the repair of the frame from the inside prior to replacing the inner fender well.
