george71z Posted February 15, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2009 Has anybody else seen the post on Zcar.com about the shop in Mission Viejo, Ca. that needs a s--tpot full of 3N71B auto trannies? They replied back to my email and said they would pick it up in Fla. and pay $100 for it, working or not. Anybody have any laying around they don't need? dk240z Posted February 15, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) I had three, and Kevin had Southeastern Freight come by and pick them up. The shipping alone was $415, which he paid. I was happy to see them go! Plus, I had $300 to put into my Z.DK Edited February 15, 2009 by dk240z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/30835-automatic-trannys/#findComment-274353 Share on other sites

Mike B Posted February 15, 2009 Share #7 Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) Here is the ad: http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/14/2015293Hi everyone. I own Mission Viejo Transmission in Mission Viejo California. We have a contract to retrofit some little trucks from China from manuals to automatics. The only transmission that will fit is the 3N71b rear wheel drive transmissions that came mainly in the Z cars from 1971 to 1982. We don't even care if they work, we will buy them from you for $100 a piece, we will pick them up anywhere. We need 300+ transmissions. We have already delivered 338 of them rebuilt and ready to go. Look for those junk units for me. I also need extension housings 13 1/4 to 13 1/2 inches long and torque converters. At this time we are looking for non-lock 3N71b transmissions as many as you can find.Kevin 949-583-1828 dojnbulets@aol.com-Mike Edited February 16, 2009 by Mike B Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/30835-automatic-trannys/#findComment-274374 Share on other sites
