Jeff G 78 Posted January 23, 2016 Share #775 Posted January 23, 2016 A friend sent me this picture today and it confused me a bit. Does anybody know anything about this Z? The shape is off enough that it barely looks like any original Z lines are left. The rear quarter window is shaped different and the side window is clearly much longer than stock. If I had to guess, I'd say the wheelbase is longer too. The door cut lines are completely different that stock. It's a tube frame car with a widebody, but there is usually more of the original car than what I see here. I'm told the picture was taken at LeMans. conedodger Posted January 24, 2016 Author Share #776 Posted January 24, 2016 Jeff, looks like right hand drive? Perhaps our UK members can comment. Flag of England on the side... gnosez Posted January 24, 2016 Share #778 Posted January 24, 2016 I am looking for pictures of the 1972-73 Bob Sharp Racing seasons showing the wheels used on the 240Zs. Besides the gold center BBS three piece ones, BSR used what looked like white Minilites. 26th-Z Posted January 26, 2016 Share #780 Posted January 26, 2016 Were you the one who sent me the PM? I haven't the mental capacity to attach pictures to a PM evidently. Minilites were a very popular wheel at the time; would be surprised if these are not Minilites. I took the picture on the track; Paul Whiteman Trophy Races, SCCA National, Daytona 1971. The other one is the American Road Race of Champions, Road Atlanta, 1971.
