Laggy6 Posted May 9, 2013 Author Share #158 Posted May 9, 2013 I went for a look during my lunch break today and took some close up pics of one of the fabricated pieces sitting in position before it was welded to show how nicely it fits in there. Noddle Posted May 9, 2013 Share #161 Posted May 9, 2013 HI,Will this cause clearance issues with wide rims / tires ?Nigel Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/31081-my-new-240k-hardtop/?page=14#findComment-422987 Share on other sites
Adzmax Posted May 9, 2013 Share #162 Posted May 9, 2013 It shouldn't, because a large section of the tyre well has been removed and the piece added is the same level as the original well. Laggy6 Posted May 10, 2013 Author Share #163 Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) The outer lip you can see in that pic was cut off once the fabricated pieces were installed so there shouldn't be any clearance issues. This is what it looks like from in the boot on the drivers side. Obviously the weld still needs to be ground back.
