Carl Beck Posted March 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2009 Hi Gang:Owner passed and left it to a charity.Someone should go look at this 70 Z. At $2250.00 it "might" be a car that could be saved. Looks like the right rear quarter might have been replaced.. but if the floors/frame rails are good... it might be a good project for someone.San Diego Craigslist: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/pts/1086609657.htmlPhotobucket: http://s203.photobucket.com/albums/aa285/vpsvehicles/1970%20DATSUN%20240Z/?action=view¤t=2d177070.pbwFWIW,Carl B. mikewags Posted March 23, 2009 Share #7 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) That dashboard and interior console is like a gem in what appears to be a pretty dirty Z. Montezuma Posted March 23, 2009 Share #9 Posted March 23, 2009 I was considering checking it out regardless. I will reply to the add and go get a look at it. The price is right. CNIXZGO Posted March 23, 2009 Share #10 Posted March 23, 2009 I always get nervous when I see a Z sitting out on a grass field. Can't be good for the underbody. That interior looks almost new, dash, console, etc Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/31272-someone-should-go-look-70z-225000/#findComment-278622 Share on other sites
Sailor Bob Posted March 24, 2009 Share #11 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) Parked in grass would make want to see the undercarriage and a trailer hitch too. Carl Beck Posted March 24, 2009 Author Share #12 Posted March 24, 2009 Interior looks "original" so it is not surprising to see the seats split out... I don't know how long it has been sitting outside in the grass. The original owner's estate donated it to the present non-profit.It all depends on how much rust is in the floorboards and frame rails - but the car has been in California - - - and dirt aside it "might" be a very solid car to refresh or restore. The blue on the right rear quarter panel - would have to be looked at carefully. No problem of the panel was replaced properly... but it could be work if it was a poor job to begin.Dust and dirt just lower the price, not so much the market value... wonder if that is a Super Speed 20 in the spare?FWIW,Carl B.
