If you live in a Hot weather area, they will fall apart without that clip holding it together.

I broke the clps on mine, but didn't want anything "obvious" showing on the exterior.

I counter-sunk the hole in the lens and used a wide, flat head machine screw to replace the pin. Then put the chrome strip over the top. (This was while the lens was dis-assembled).

Assembled the lens to the rear body with sealant and used a small nut on the back as the "safety" retainer.

That's actually a pretty good idea, I'll keep it in mind for the next set I do.

What brand of adhesive/sealant would you guys recommend for reattaching the lenses to the bodies? Also, do the rubber pads that were between the lens and the body have to be there when the lights are sealed back together? because the rubber pieces on mine were wasted so I threw them out. I'm assuming a thick blob of some type of adhesive/sealant can replace those couple rubber pieces.
