So I picked up my car and an owner at some point put in house carpet.

Its look pretty bad! I would like to replace it with The best factory look like!

Also Does any one have photos of what The stock 260Z butterscotch interior looks like? I looked in the galley but was not sure whats stock and whats not.

And what does it look like behide the seats before the storage bins!

I'll post some photos up tonight Of what i'm dealing with here!

I can't speak with authority on the 260Z butterscotch interior, but my 73 240Z came with black carpets as can be seen in the purchase pics in my Gallery.

I found the following thread with pics of a purported 260Z interior with tan carpet. The seat covers are probably not stock but from what I can see of the door panels they appear to be stock.

you can find full 5-piece carpet kits all over... Here's one from Motorsport Auto. for 240Z's and early 260Z's (up to 8/74) with Loop style carpet.

all better

Now if that back panel is going to be tan along with the trans tunnel would black carpet not be right for the car?

going to need a full set and the straps! set if they still make it!

And on a good note, your order showed up today. So your rebuilt T/S switch box assembly will be in the mail tomorrow. I just kept the 3-pin connector, wires and good tubing on it. So all you have to do is screw it on, plug it in and you're set. till something else breaks.

P.S. NOT digging the Shag, even if it is a subtle loop pile carpet. That's a big NO-NO

My 74 260 2/2 came with the original brown interior, described in their sales literature as butterscotch brown. MSA and the other major zed suppliers carry carpet in the stock colours: since there were only a couple of browns to choose from it is not difficult to choose the one that matches. I chose the darker brown for my carpet set, but in retrospect I would have been wiser to get the black carpet, as the brown can wear on you after a while (in other words it looks dated unless it is a real concourse restoration), whereas black is always safe as a long term bet, esp. if the car is not a 90 point restoration.
