Datsun Racing Jacket

Does anyone know where I can buy a Datsun racing jacket? I am looking for something similar to the BRE racing jackets from the 70's. Thanks for the information.

I got a Datsun Rally jacket from Australia, looking for one from the UK. Like from the Works Rally Teams. If i find a BRE one i'll let you know. What size you need? Remember Vintage sizes are different today, a size smiller i think thanks to fast food. ~ Z~

If we had a really good graphic (eps format) we could get some transfers made or you could take it to a place that does silkscreening and make up as many jackets or shirts as you like.

Some big magnetic signs would be cool too.

Some pictures for reference to this thread. The rally jacket is a repro. The Nissan Motorsports jacket is from the Nissan racing effort in the early '90s. The red / white / blue jacket was sold by BRE Interpart from their catalog. It is a nylon shell with zip-in liner. Kats had pictures of his on his web site. I believe his has a Datsun patch sewn on the back where as mine does not.

Do you think you could assemble most or all of the stuff for a "Datsun" jacket so it looks decent?

You could go to ww.BRE2.com and buy what Pete and Gayle Brock have there. I don't remember the BRE jacket from the 70's, but they do have the BRE polo shirt that is a direct reproduction of the team togs. On top of that, any profits go to a guy who put the 240Z on the map in the U.S. His wife, Gayle, does most of the business communications, but she's very nice and will carry on a conversation with a BRE groupie for as long as you're interested.

I'm presently waiting for my Pete Brock / John Morton autographed 1/18th scale #46 240Z model to arrive. I am #10 on the sign up list and they're only autographing 146 of them.

The Datsun Jacket pictured was sold or given away by the Datsun Dealers. The Datsun Jacket sold by BRE had the large DATSUN patch on the back.

The red 240Z patch pictured was most likey added by someone.

and they didn't have the red, white and blue jacket in the photos 26th posted, so you'd be on your own to collect the pieces for that. I did like the narrow spare tyre tho- something for another topic.

I have one I never wore, size large. It's mostly blue and says "Datsun" on the left sleeve, in blue and white letters on a black background. If anyone is interested I'll take a pic of it. raywshoe@yahoo.com.
