Torby Posted May 6, 2013 Share #133 Posted May 6, 2013 Kleen Flo? Never seen that over here, what is it? Looks like it works great, though! I usually just soak parts in diesel to clean off oil and dirt. Your valves must seal good, though, that's good news! Keep up the good work, following this with interest! e-tek Posted May 6, 2013 Author Share #135 Posted May 6, 2013 Thanks guys - now I know what the wife means when she says "No one appreciates me" and we say "Oh- I do" and she says: "well it'd be nice to hear it sometimes".......and we say: "well I just said it" and she says: "Ya, but I had to tell you to say it" and we say: "Well what do you want from me? and she says: "Well if you don't know, I'm certainly not going to tell you".......... 3ryce Posted July 3, 2013 Share #142 Posted July 3, 2013 This is very inspirational! I just hope my z doesnt have as much rust as yours did. im a super novice. After the roof and floor pans and the under battery tray rust repair I hope thats all I have. It will be along time before i can tear down my z to this point. Keep up the updates i love seeing the progress! e-tek Posted July 13, 2013 Author Share #144 Posted July 13, 2013 Time for an update.....I guess. I've been slogging through the tedious bodywork phase, working on it a couple hours a day - along with a 40Ford I need to get done for someone else. But as long as it's moving forward, I'm happy. My goal is to get it into paint by fall so I can spend the winter doing the enjoyable part: re-assembly! As I scored a sponsorship from Duplicolor, I've been using a lot of their products where I can. I'll still need to use an epoxy (2K) high build primer and final sealer, but I've been using their products in non-critical body areas, as well as any small parts like engine and suspension bits. It really is good stuff! I had to repair a hole that was worn from the inner fender rear splash shield rubbing and trapping rust.... I've been tempted to just buy 2 new fenders - but at $400, plus shipping, it's a real dilemma. Currently I'm into this car for about $3000, including the $500 purchase price (way back in 1995!) and all the restorations parts I just bought from Black Dragon. Since the paint and much of the body products were supplied by Dupli-color, maybe I should spring for new fenders.....OPINIONS?
