signal34 Posted November 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 9, 2009 Longtime lurker but I rarely post. Here is a pic of my 81 280ZXT. Original except for the repaint and front air dam. Currently has around 72K miles on it. I also have a 04 350Z roadster as a DD and I'm just starting on a 77 280Z project. zbane Posted November 9, 2009 Share #10 Posted November 9, 2009 what's the T stand for in 280ZXT Turbo Welcome to the site, I'd love to see some more photos of that airdam-my lower valance is not as nice as it once was-and that looks fairly stock (for an airdam) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/33774-new-from-indiana/#findComment-299868 Share on other sites
signal34 Posted November 10, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) Turbo Welcome to the site, I'd love to see some more photos of that airdam-my lower valance is not as nice as it once was-and that looks fairly stock (for an airdam) Mine had a small dent in it and had started to rust a little from rock chips. I needed to replace it but didn't want anything that would be a radical shift from the original body lines. The one I went with is a MSA Type 1. If you look at it and at a stock car it's not that different. Her car has only 92,000 and she loves it.Did you get your car painted in Bloomington?I haven't seen your daughters Z around town but I'm sure that I will. Looks like its in good shape. I had a body shop between between Bloomington and Spencer do the paint and body work. The car is only a two owner but it did have a small rust spot at the top of both front wheel wells. They were very small and could have been repaired but I intend to keep the car so I bought two new OEM Nissan fenders. Suprisingly the fenders are still available directly from your local Nissan dealer. He had the car for a little over four months but it was basically disassembled, painted and then reassembled.
